Products And Home Remedies For Acne

Written by admin on

Is your acne starting to get unmanageable? It’s a wonder how much acne can still affect our lives with the amount of treatments already available fore them. Perhaps one of the reasons why we still have problems with them is that there are too many treatment options to choose from. So they tend to shift from one method to another and thus fail to see the results they want.

One thing you have to understand about acne – or any other sickness for that matter – is that it takes time for the medicine to take effect. So what you should do is decide what treatment you should use and use it for some time. But what should you choose? There are the home acne remedies and then there are the commercial remedies. Read on and you might be able to decide by the end of this article.

Home Remedies

Some of the home remedies for acne are unbelievably simple. In fact, you don’t have to mix various ingredients to create a concoction.

For those who are just starting out with acne, just washing your face twice a day would be a big help. However, for advanced cases, a pumpkin mask should really be able to help. For twenty minutes every other day, you should apply it on your face. Once it hardens, you can easily remove it with warm water.

Garlic also works fine for large, red pimples. Just rub some sliced garlic on your face. You’ll find that the pimple will decrease the next day. Unlike the pumpkin, this routine should be done every day. You can also use orange peel for this. Those mentioned are also effective as home acne scar remedies.

Commercial Acne Remedies

Over the counter remedies that are conveniently wiped on the face are also effective for controlling acne. However, you might find it hard to settle on a brand that will compliment your skin.

Try looking for salicylic acid which is the most effective ingredient in cleansers today. Other than that ingredient, there isn’t really a specific product that could work for most people. Medications for acne are strictly taken under prescription. You’ll find that there are also home remedies for pimple scars available. There are times when healing and lightening of the skin are combined in one product.

Choosing what to use

I recommend that you first use home remedies for your acne. Not only are they safe but also cheap. If the natural methods don’t work, then you can use commercial ones.

Try to remember what was said in the beginning. It takes time for the treatments to work so stick to one method first. When using commercial products, apply in on a small patch of skin first.
